Eriophyid mite-induced galls on wild shrub leaves, Land O’ Lakes, Pasco County, Florida, USA, 28°19’18.1″N 82°31’58.4″W

Galls, spherical, irregular growths that are usually found on the upper surfaces of leaves (adaxial). These hollow, purple-green to red structures are attached to the leaves by short, hollow structures. Large numbers can cause infested leaves to “cover” and drop prematurely.
